Pretty sure alcohol was the culprit on this one. No storm. Booz cruising the night before.

I'd like to know what Malibu is thinking on that gel coat. Did they hire a engineer/designer from a fishing boat company?

I agree w/ Chad. that color should be on a bass boat.

I don't disagree with this at all. However, if you look at it, more and more of the manufactures are now offering the flake, I am sure Nautique, Centurion, Supreme and Supra are. Personally I have seen a few boats, with the right color it looks alright on, but far and few between. Nothing wrong with plain old colors. I also understand that if any gel repair is performed it is VERY difficult to get the flake to match up decent.

I personally love Flake on boats. I don't live in the land of Bass boats and the old ski boats (70's era) had flake before Bass boats ever did anyway.

Well that's one way to tie up to the dock!!!! With the right color the flake can be cool, that is not the right color though...

I agree with BCrider and some of the others, as an old guy that grew up skiing behind low profile boats during the 70s, Metal Flakes were on a lot of boats and I like 'em.
                            1. This guys boat may actually look pretty good if it was in the water and not dry-docked.
                            2. I think he was just going to install some new underwater lights when he realized that he was an idiot.
                            3. Making his stereo harder to steal??
                            4. Wakeboarding got old and tried surfing, Surfing got old and wanted to try something new. Dock Jumping
                            5. At least his boat is (was) in the water, I spent all weekend with my boat at the shop getting a new bimini.
                            6. And you wonder why I don't go out on the big weekends???

We have the metal flake on our RZR in red, but you can't even see it unless the sun hits it directly. We really like it.
