Mounting Block for swim platform - '04 22V

Anybody have or know where I can get a mounting block for the swim platform for a 2004 22V? It is the port side block that is mounted to the boat.

I just bought the boat and the dealer is supposed to fix, but I thought I would try and help expedite the process. Thanks!!!

I read a previous forum post about this. I think the owner ended up having a machine shop make one.

The company that made these for Tige went out of business a few years ago. You have two options, have a machine shop make you a new one or upgrade to the new mount system. (I have not seen this done with a teak swim platform) Best of luck, and let me know if I can be of any help.

I recently replaced my 06 transom brackets. Not too expensive from tige. Not sure vif it's the same one though.

Thanks everyone! I searched through previous posts, and you guys are right - 1. The company went out of business. 2. Most people had a machine shop make one (which is what the dealer is supposed to do).

I like the idea of upgrading to a new mount system. It is strange how this bracket failed, and if the company went out of business, I'm wondering if there are serious flaws in the brackets. I'd rather just have it done the right way once instead of messing around with it. At the same time, I wonder if it's worth having the machine shop fabricate 6-12 of these things and have some extras for the next guy who has this problem!

Have you got a photo of the part?

I don't have a photo. The boat is back at the dealer and they can't seem to find a machine shop! They told me they would take it apart Monday and send it to a nearby machine shop, but it is Tuesday at 4pm with no progress on this bracket. Fortunately they are working on the other things that need to be fixed.

Here are pics of both brackets. The port side is the one that needs to be replaced. Given that the starboard looks a little off too, maybe that one needs replaced as well? If there is a new bracket system that would work, I'd rather get something that I know will last. Let me know. Thanks for the help!!!

Seems a pretty poor design to me! Mine was different to that. Have you considered a just bolting or pinning a bit of C section around the top half?

That said it hardly needs a master fabricator to replicate that!
