          The only change I typically make to that process is to let off the throttle & allow the engine to decelerate the car-this changes the load & allow the rings to fully seat. This is actually how TRW states to break their rings in, not sure how you'd do deceleration on a boat, but most important is to vary the engine speed. Also, do the first oil change shortly after this.
