    Possible New Tige Owner!! Help!!!

Ok guys new to the site so bear w me! Last year I had a 2001 Moomba möbius and surfed the heck out of it. Fell in love w the boating world and w surfing! This year I bought a 2003 Supra Launch SSV, and realized I was payin 40-60$ less a month on this boat than I would a brand new one! Got in touch w a Tige dealer out of Ft Worth Texas an he offered me 22,500 trade in on the Supra and quoted me a left over 2014 R20 for 57,xxx. I want to know a few things before I spend this much money on a boat! 1-will I be happy w the surf wake the R20 can put out for 50 somethin thousand and is goin from a 21+ foot boat to a 20 a notable difference as far as room and space, etc.. 2-give me some feedback on the price and the quality of the R20! I will be puttin at least 10% down, I just don't wanna get upside down if I decide to resale! Any info would be great, nervous about spending this much money!! Also do all Tige boats for surf/wake boarding come w the TAPS system? Thanks in advance for any help!

The taps 2 is a option on the R20. The RZR steps you up to many more options and would have a broader market as far as resale.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

Sorry it looks like 2014 R20's have Taps2 standard.

I would love to have an RZR or ASR but those payments aren't plausible for me at the moment. I just don't wanna get upside down in somethin, I have a near perfect credit and wanna keep it that way! Do you know much about noticeable differences in a 20 footer compared to a 20+??

57K is way high for a holdover R20 IMO. I used to work for a dealer and sold our last 14 R20(lightly optioned) last August for 46K. I wouldn't think a loaded holdover R20 should be over 50.

R20 is a smallish 20 footer(narrow beam). You may notice some loss in size from a SSV. Surf will be better than the SSV, IMO. R20/RZR is hands down the best surf wave of the 20 footers on the market. Huge, clean, and most importantly easy to dial in.

This boat has only stock ballast and was quoted $1,200 for the upgrade sacks in the back, and no tower speakers, sub, or amp, and I was quoted $1,700 for that. I got the absolute best trade in deal at this dealership and that's why I went w them. Still haven't bought yet, but I might look around and get some cheaper quotes to see if he can match them. Biiiig difference in 57,000 and 46,000

You need to look a NADA values for your boat. Then you can understand whether or not the dealership is trading retail for retail or retail for wholesale. NADA has retail and trade in figures. The dealership won't give you retail for your boat if they are selling their boat at a big discount. They have to make money. Both on their boat and your boat when they sell it.

I agree with Boardman, 57k for a basic 2014 r20 is too much. You can get a 2015 with surf ballast for that or find a 2012 or 2013 RZR that is loaded for that or less.

As for the surf wave it is awesome on my rzr and I know a few people with r20s and with the same ballast setup in they love their boats as well.

As for your trade have you tried to sell it yourself?

A 2003 will be harder to sell as the buyer will have to have excellent credit. Most banks won't make a loan on a 12 year old boat unless it's for a dealer or a buyer with excellent credit.

My friend just got a nicely optioned 2015 r20 for $61,000 otd
Had the upgraded sound system, not tower speakers. Upgraded ballast with tandem trailer, no VX but it surfs great!!
I think the MSRP was close to $75,000
This was an in stock boat.

                    I wouldn't by a 2014 unless saving 8 to $12,000

The way you described the boat it should be priced around $45K as a hold over.
