Pre 2009 Tige Interiors

I just sold my xstar and am planning to buy either a 23lsv or 24ve. A friend said today that he understood that Tige interiors pre 2009 were poorly made.
Is this the case? If so, what was the issue?

I think that they are on par with other boats of the era. I have owned most brands. None of the older stuff is as good as the materials today. I think what your friend is referring to is pre 2000 boats.

I currently own an 03 tige and a buddy of mine has an 04 tige... Both have seams pulling apart on a few of the seats.. Before I bought this tige I was looking at an 03 mastercraft and the mc dealer told me to check the seats real good because they had problems in the early 2000's... Something about the industry standards weren't as high so all interiors were not as good as they are now. He said standards have been raised now and all seats by all manufactures are supposed to be better. Don't know when that switch happened though... This is just what I was told.. Maybe somebody else could chime in with more info

I'd agree with Boardman that they are about on par with the others of that era. I think it was 06-08 tige used some shiny vinyl in a few spots in some boats that had a tendency to tear. Mine was replaced under warranty when the original owner had it. Other than that, mines all original and is in great shape minus two small places where the seams are starting to pull. I would say that the vinyl Tige used for a few years feels thin, but it holds up pretty good.

When i was boat shopping i did look at an 06 Mastercraft, a 04 and 06 Malibu, 06 Centurion and a few others. I wasnt any more impressed with the interiors of any of them. Malibu definitely used a better quality of vinyl back then compared to Tige, but both i looked at had lots of discoloration which i understand was a problem back then.
