took my 2003 20i out for the first time and found some issues. Steering tough which was an easy fix with new cable. This forum was so much help and the fix went smooth. Second issue, Throttle. Forward very smooth but reverse needs a lot of muscle to engage. Buddy told me it's not the cable but an adjustment. Is that correct and if so where do I adjust?

Be a little more descriptive if you could but here's how to eliminate a few things:
- disconnect the cable at the transmission by pulling back on the pivot connection at the transmission shifter arm connection. The outer portion moves independently from the Clevis barrel.
- after its disconnected, move the shifter lever on the transmission both forward and reverse to observe if it's smooth both directions
- do the same for the shifter at the dash. If nothing changes, the problem is most likely the shifter assembly and not the cable or an adjustment.
Do the above and post back with results.Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
