    Vapor Lock?

I have a fuel injected 350 mag on a 2001 20i. It does not happen often, twice last summer, once just yesterday. After it has been running for say 45 min, we, shut her down to have some lunch, went to start it up, she started, I looked at the gauges, all were in normal range..especially the temp, but, warning beeps immediately followed. I tried again maybe 1 minute later and she would not start for me at all...would not even turn over. I opened the shell, let it cool for maybe 15 min, she started up again, no problem. Again, temperature gauge was not elevated or anything, not sure what is going on.

Another issue, the volt gauge is running a bit high about 15, I thought it should be running in the range of 12-14? Is this an indicator of a declining battery?

Any ideas on what is going on would be appreciated.

We have a 2005 24V with the 6.0L and had this happen over the July 4th weekend.

Have over 100 hours on the engine and this was the first time it has happened. About the same situation that you described.

We called the dealer and he said to do what you did. Let it cool for a little while and it should be good to go.

From that point on I kept the blower going while running the engine. Before I just used it prior to starting after sitting for awhile.
