    rev 8 amp configuration

So I have an Exile Harpoon amp currently powering one set of Rev 8's. I am adding a second set of Rev 8 's and was wondering how to wire them (e.g. What mode - bridged, etc.). Also, will this amp power 4 rev 8's adequately as it is currently dedicated only for the tower.

Hook up each side of Rev8's in parallel, this will set you up in 2 ohm so you get 500 Watts per pair of Rev 8's. Keep it stereo on the Amp.

You only use bridge mode if you are running mono and a single speaker.

Yes, the harpoon will deliver respectable wattage to two pair of 8" HLCD. Just shy of 200W rms to each, so only a little more that the Wet Sounds Syn-2.

If the tower is wired with 12ga to each of the current pods, you will only need to splice in the 2nd pod in parallel with the first, with a short jumper of 14ga. If not, you can pull in 12ga using the smaller gauge as you pull it out. Much easier as opposed to trying to pull additional wire into the tower.

If you wanted to drive the speakers to their potential, you could run dual HT-4 or single SD-2, dual Arc XDi600.4 or single Arc KS600.2. Each option would net around 300W rms to each pod.

Thanks Chp - that's an awesome idea. I was going fish wire down, but that's a great idea.
