    Rocker Panel Homework

Well guys I don't have much faith in UPS actually finding my lost switch panel's for my 2000 21v so I'm starting to do my homework on converting to rocker switches.

I came across this link here:

    http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...-Panel-Problem

    Here is my question:

My boat does in fact have the EMI connections along with the EMI relay. Am I not able to simply clip the harness off (the one running from the relay) and connect the newly exposed wires into rocker switches keeping the existing EFI relay or do I need to discard the relay and get a distro box (http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Syste...it+With+Ground) and connect it straight to the battery/accessories?

I've found numerous posts about the topic all promising a parts list and then the list never gets posted...this link is the closest I could find of a list of parts...any other parts you guy recommend I look at for this project?

After digging some more I found the official name for the relay:

EMI 9 Relay Digital Electronic Control Center (10A), P/N 50-00073

Does anyone know what the ninth wire would be? I know it controls the 8 accessory buttons but what in the world the ninth is I have no clue?? I'm worried that if I pull this entire "Digital Electronic Control Center" out that it's going to disable other things besides my accessories...

    Anybody have any input?

For other people's reference, here is what Lee over at Tige sent me for my the wiring on my 2000 21v.....I would imagine it should be similar for their other boats from that time frame..

Navigation: Gray wire to post #1
ANC: gray with red stripe to post #2
      Blower: yellow to #3
      Bilge: Brown to #4
Stereo: red with white stripe to #5
      Ctsy Lights: Blue to #6
Shower: Brown with yellow stripe to #7
      Left Accy: Orange to #8
Rigth Accty: Purple with white stripe to #9

Hope this can help out other folks too!

Bringing this one back from the dead just in case I end of helping with a conversion. If so, I will be sure to document everything I can on here. BurnMac42 has the right idea. All wires to mechanical switches with power coming from a fuse panel like he posted.
        Oh Yeah!
