Yesterday was the first test of the 2006 Tige Frankenstein 24Ve. Quick reminder of everything done:
1. Removal of factory ballast stuff
2. Centralizing of Batteries et al
3. Enlargement of Rear lockers all way to transom
3. Install of custom sacs and pumps--1800ish# port 1600is# stbd 600ish# bow (and 200# in lead for good measure)
4. Rework of cruise control--elimination SpeedSet, addition of a new throttle setup and a Hydrophase RideSteady
5. FAE install and complete exhaust re-routing (muffler removal)
6. Trimming of "lip" on factory swim platform
7. 1235 Prop
8. etc etc etc (such as a witty naming of the boat)
So I took it to a local puddle close to town to test it--it was windy as heck, and the lake varies in depth from 10-18'. Filled surf side full, filled bow mostly full, put lead on surf side, set cruise to 11.5 and went about it, varied TAPS all over the map.
Offe we went. I thought wave size was impressive...overall though, I was PLEASED AS PUNCH that the throttle worked perfectly, the cruise worked perfectly, the pumps all worked perfectly, the boat listed like it was going to sink.....shockingly all worked!
KINDA DISAPPOINTED THAT COULD NOT GET WAVE TO CLEAN UP. Looking for top level suggestions on how to get a clean wave? What are your first thoughts? Admittedly, I was giddy that it simply worked and was overwhelmed with variables to test, so "science" was poor for this session.
HOW ABOUT A SURF FLAP?
Lets chat! Here are the photos: why the heck are these sideways??!! Please crane your neck to see them.
