I need some help dealing with a boat that my in-laws ordered. I started the post titled "New Switch V" on this site which gives more detailes on the boat. They ordered the boat at the Kansas City boat show on a Saturday from Skiers Wharf Extreme in Osage Beach, Missouri. It is a blue Switch V with wakeboard package, ballast, perfect pass. The order was to be placed on 2/23/04 and we were told COUNTLESS times that the boat would be ready for delivery in 5 weeks. My in-laws just visited Skiers Wharf Extreme on 3/11/04 and were told the boat would not be delivered until the third week in April. WTF!! In my calculations that would be a total of 8 WEEKS! They got no explanation of why it is taking so long. If a production slot was not open for the boat they should have contacted my in-laws immediatly and told them what was going on. This is unacceptable. I was wondering if someone at the factory could tell me when the order came in and why the boat is taking double the time it was supposed to. If it is going to take 8 weeks to build a boat, tell the customer 8 weeks!!!!!!
I am not mad that the boat takes 8 weeks to build, but I am pissed that you tell the customer 5 weeks and it turns into 8, if it were 6 that is understandable, but 8 is absolutely bull****!!!!!
