my thoughts exactly. I have already contacted the District 6 Commander of Water Patrol by email. I'll update this when I get back with him on it.

You know....our lakes are like the LAST place to have some freedom and enjoy yourself. The laws are there to protect the responsible folks like us from clowns like the guy that almost ran his tubers under my boat yesterday! The problem is that these water cops enforce the wrong laws. They'd rather mess with people causing ZERO problems than they had go after the drunk kooks! True...alcohol is consumed on my boat, but nobody gets hammered unless we're staying there, and as soon as I feel relaxed, the boat is either docked, or on the trailer.
They miss getting to arrest a LOT of kooks by going boat to boat checking for life jackets and fire extinquishers.....and giving instructionals on a sport they could NEVER do to people actually doing it.
Water cops......get some form of a life before you go on patrol! Isn't there a rap song out right now about all this......"They see me rollin...they hatin', patrolin and tryin' to catch me ridin' dirty"!!!!!Comment
