    How much ballast is this?

My 21v came with these bags when I purchased the boat but I have looked all over the bags to see if there is a weight and I can't find any numbers. The boat has a full bow wrap around bag along with two equally sized black bags and then the gray bag is huge. All of them are Flyhigh's but that's about all I can tell....anybody know how much weight these would be?

Also, is it a good amount to start building a surf wave off of? For you current/previous 21v owners..how would you start weighting the boat to build a decent surf wave?

looks like a 1100# W719 jumbo surf an a pair of 400# v--drive W701. Those could be the Nauty wedge sacs, but cant remember the part number.

Flip your shop vac around, fill them with air and measure the exterior dimensions, that'll get you in the ballpark for capacity, no matter what models the bags are.

Anybody know how much the bow sac would weigh??

What initial setup would you guys run to start dialing in a surf wave? Fill the gray one up along with the bow? Just the gray one? A combo, etc?

Personally I would start by filling up the large one on your surf side rear locker. Get as much weight in that corner as possible. Try one of the smaller ones on the surf side seat. Go light with weight in the front to start, not much is needed and the wave is very sensitive to bow weight. I plan to get a custom enzo style sac made for my 21v this year that will fill the rear compartment and stretch forward though the length of the seat.

Thanks man, I might look into the Enzo bag as well...I don't want bags sitting out in the open personally....Is the bow bag worth having in the boat or is it primarily used for wakeboarding on the 21v?

Yup, that's exactly why I am doing it. Tired of struggling with sacs out in the open with a boat full of people/gear/etc. I have used a bag similar to the black ones you have in the bow walkway for front weight in my boat. But like I said be careful not to use too much weight in up front. I would defiantly take a day out on the water and play with different weights/speeds/TAPS settings to see what works best for you. I would definitely keep the bow sac as you will need some sort of weight up there.

When I first started surfing we went with no weight up front. The wave is huge and tall, but very short. That bow weight really helps stretch out the wave and reduce the overall height a little bit.
