Maybe we can look into their trailers as well. We met a guy out there a few trips ago that has one. I can reach out to him to see if he would rent it or know of any others that do. That is right by the launch ramp behind the hotel there.

You may have heard it in the movies, "If you build it, they will come". Well, I'd like to put a little spin on that tonight. Offshore Marine wouldn't build it, but if someone else is interested in building it, would you be interested? O.k., O.k., I'll get to the point... We have an interested sponsor (dealer) if we can show enough interest in holding the event a little further down river. In Parker, AZ at https://www.bluewaterfun.com. The good - The dates remain the same (Sept 18-20), the Hotel is on the water (dont make reservations just yet though, I'm talking to the group sales rep tomorrow for good rates), there are plenty of rooms available, they have a wakeboard park, and the following weekend they are hosting the http://www.wakesurfchampionships.com/location.html. The bad - a little further out than some of you are willing to drive - that's the only downside I can think of. My plan - make sure there is enough interest on this thread and firm it up tomorrow afternoon. If I see enough "Im interested" posts, I will start a new thread to attract more attention to the event for those from So. Cal... a title with something real deep and well thought out - like "Parker AZ Tigeowners Reunion". Let me know ASAP.

We would be good with parker. We have been there a few times and Blue Water is fun, you can even gamble at the hotel. there are floating bars as you go upstream that are lots of fun as well. I would say the only down side is that it is more of a river than a lake. Very thin in places and can get shallow towards the damn especially at night.

Well - it doesn't look like we have a lot of people interested in Blue Water Casino, and to be honest, I completely understand. There were more "bad" parts of the idea than I had imagined. First and foremost, it's a river, so maneuvering and navigation can be challenging. Even if you were initially interested in moving the event in Parker, your minds might change when I give you the latest update. Although they have plenty of rooms available, they cannot give us any good group rates because it's an "event weekend". Out of curiosity, I asked them what event was taking place... it's the "Nautique Regatta". So obviously that weekend is out. The previous weekend is available (Sept 10-12), and the dealer is still interested, but many of us (including me) had already planned our vacations around the following weekend. Sorry folks, I tried. I will humbly back away and leave it up to everyone else on where we go from here. As for Pam and I, we are weighing our options on a houseboat or a rental motor home from "Cruise America" for Cottonwood Cove.

We will likely just hang out for a few hours Sat, and then head on the grand canyon.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Ok here are the options as I see them: first 3 keep original date of 9/19. if you are coming to the event state your preference
1) Temple Bar. Has lodging , water level Questionable but they extended the ramp last week. No dealer support, still plenty deep after exiting marina
2) Cottonwood Cove - lodging limited. Motels 13 miles away . No dealer support. In the past we have stayed 25 miles from reunion site when it was in echo bay
3) Lake Havasu plenty of lodging. Has slips in marina. No dealer support. Pretty open water 5-15 miles south of Marina. Has beach area across from marina if wanted to bbq Saturday night. Has state campground for campers
4) Bluewater in Parker. Have to change date. Dealer support. River water. I have limited experience in Parker but both times had bad water. Others can chime in.
We need to decide a venue so people can make plans.
My first choice would still be temple bar as we can keep the group mostly together. After that cottonwood cove and Havasu would be 2 nd. Changing date at this time is not an option for my groupLast edited by xpjim1; 06-20-2015, 06:48 PM.Let it be!!!

Just called Temple Bar. 13 regular rooms left, all 4 fishing cabins. The ramp extension is not complete according to "Sara", but should be by September. An employee who works there has a Tige, and he told Sara he has no problems launching. Cottonwood would have been awesome, but those of you who know Searchlight understand why we're going to Temple Bar. Hope others will join us. We will be arriving Wednesday, Sept 16 around noon. First round Thursday night is on me for those that get there that early.
