2000 21V Engine cover option?

So, the previous owner of my 21v decided to remove the padding/vinyl and spray a gray rhino lining type substance onto the panel that covers the engine. I'm thinking about getting a pad to go on top of it...something like Gatorstep, Seadek, or decadence.

Anyone have pros/cons of the three..also, do you order direct from these companies or is there aftermarket companies that sell these products? Any guess as to how much a piece cut for that rear panel would cost?

If it were me, I would recover that hatch back with vinyl and foam like it was. Or take it step further and design an actual walk way down the center with vinyl on both sides.

chpthril, that's what I had in mind. Both rear hatches on the port/starboard side still have vinyl so a piece of Seadek, etc would make a natural walkway if it covered just the engine compartment. Just so I understand, you would still put a strip of vinyl on the outer edges of the engine cover with Seadek in the middle?

he is saying he would make a walk way out of the middle and put foam and vinyl on the sides. or just put back to the original state of solid upholstery. I would take it a step further. I would keep a center walk way, and then have a custom filler made for it!

Lol this is where being in person is probably worth its weight in gold. When you say "foam and vinyl on the sides" do you mean the port/starboard hatches OR do you mean a strip of foam/vinyl along the sides of the engine cover as well with Seadek down the middle?
