    Which upgrade do you prefer?

Hey all, so as summer slowly approaches here in southern California I am already starting to think about which upgrade I want to start the season with. Currently have a 2013 Z1 did a stereo upgrade last season, this season debating between a new prop (currently have factory prop) OR Fresh Air exhaust.

Both upgrades will be done sooner or later, just the question is which do I do first?

Use our boat mainly for surfing, but also do a little wake boarding and foiling from time to time. Have the Surf ballast on the boat. I feel the prop would really help with getting the boat on plane and all that considering we usually go with a good amount of people in the boat, but the FAE would be nice not only for safety of surfers but also only running one pair of tower speakers and they are definitely muffled by the sound of exhaust currently.

What do you all think should come first, they are both more or less around the same price range, your comments/suggestions/preferences are much appreciated!

Prop. It helped my boat immensely while it was weighted down with ballast and people.

I'd go prop too, that way you have a spare. I'd get it with the weekend saver kit.

The prop would be my choice. Especially if the boat is loaded alot. After 2011 with catalytic exhaust the fumes aren't nearly as bad as they were previously.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

I'll agree with the prop as well.

I bought the prop.... still haven't gotten around to a FAE. I slotted numerous other things ahead of FAE...

Having a spare prop can save a weekend. Having FAE is just a nice to have.

For a 2013 the recommended prop will be the 1433 as there isn't enough clearance for the 1235. That was what I was told when we upgraded our 2013 Z1 with the 343.

1235 fits fine on a 14 Z1. There were trailer clearance issues on the 13 Z1 with boatmate trailers.

I have seen some posts in the past regarding prop clearance issues. I have an Extreme trailer not a boat mate. Anyone have any experience with upgraded prop on a Z1 with an Extreme trailer? Assuming clearance isnt an issue would you all suggest a 1235 or a 1433 for a 13 Z1 343?

Pretty sure they did not change the hull between 13 and 14 so it should be fine. How much clearance do you have now?

I put a 1235 on my Z1, first upgrade I did and no regrets. Made the wave way better and have issues with clearence, Boatmate sent me shims for the trailer and everything is good now. Good luck

When you ask clearance are we talking from the tip of the prop to the top of the prop guard on the trailer? Want to make sure I measure the correct thing before giving you a number.. What is the clearance needed? Thanks for help.

Thanks for reply. How much clearance is necessary for the prop to fit without trailer issues?
