Could easily be cavitation, how much weight, how much list (rub rail at water line?) and what engine/prop are you running?

What trans/v-drive? The zf 45 pick up is slightly on the port side and could be sucking a little air when u ride goofy which would cause a pressure loss and clutch contact issues. Check fluid levels etc... Etc...

not sure of prop but will check and post after the weekend. I run 1100 lbs in rear locker with a few bodies on goofy side rear also...

My guess is your not running enough bow weight. How much bow weight are you running? My 22v will cavitate when the bow is to light due too ballast or people position or even when we get low on fuel.

ya i sometimes have a 450 under front seats but usually just the 1100 makes a huge goofy.. I will try the 450 back up front and see what happens.

Yep gota run bow weight. FYI I'm about 1500-1600 surf side rear and I run 1100lbs in the bow. Killer surf wave.

nice and when yours would cavitate , was it only goofy side.. and could it only happen on one side. thats my question i guess . I load same weight ( just different sides) for both goofy and reg but only get this slip or cavitate on goofy..

Mine cavitates easier on goofy but I have more weight on that side. I think in your instance it may just be the prop rotation making it easier to cavitate on the goofy if your weighted the same both sides. Try adding bow weight just be careful when driving with bow weight.

My 08 Z1 had cavitation issues on the starboard side when weighted for surfing. After I changed to the 1235 the cavitation issues were gone.

did you have any other issue after changing the prop.. the wave stayed the same, boat ran the same, speed was the same ?

With that amount of ballast, you are exceeding the limits of the 537, so the cavitation is normal. Going to new prop is the fix. Id measure for prop to hull clearance before going to a 14.5 prop like the 1235. It fits well on the Ve, but i think its awfully close on the V hulls. There are a couple of good 14.0" props, like the 1433. A little more dia and a reduction in pitch.
