Have a 22v and when loaded for goofy side surf trans feels like it slips a bit or I get some cavitation.... does not happen on regular side ever... any thoughts?

With that amount of ballast, you are exceeding the limits of the 537, so the cavitation is normal. Going to new prop is the fix. Id measure for prop to hull clearance before going to a 14.5 prop like the 1235. It fits well on the Ve, but i think its awfully close on the V hulls. There are a couple of good 14.0" props, like the 1433.
