Does anyone have any experiance towing their Tige behind a fifth wheel? We just bought a new fifth wheel and we are hoping to weld a receiver on to it.

A lot of factors go into this...
State laws and limits i.e. total weight, axle weight, tongue weight
lenght limits, I believe in Texas we have an 85' lenght limit, and piggy backing is legal as long as all guidelines are followed.
The next factor would be truck, would need a F-450 or 4500 to carry the weight rating to legally tow that IMO. All depending on the size of the trailers.
What are the sizes on the trailers? I see the RZR so not too long there overall probably 25-26 feet on trailer hooked up???
If all of these items line up then all i can say is swing WIDE!!!

I have never put our RZ2 behind our 5th wheel because of total weight and tongue weight. We had a hitch put on for a small flatbed. It has a total trailer weight rating of only 2000 pounds and I believe a tongue weight rating of only 200. I think the tongue weight is the biggest concern. I have talked to the owner of a respected fab shop that builds heavy duty trailers. He has seen some of the newer 5th wheels bend the main frame members down when towing a trailer which was too heavy. The newer 5th wheels don't have as heavy of tubing walls as many of the older ones. All that being said, I have a buddy that has pulled his I/O behind three different 5th wheels and never had a problem. I would assume the weight of his I/O would be similar to your RZR.

I wouldn't be concerned with the trucks ability to pull it safely, but more with if the trailer can handle it. I considered doing the triple tow thing after getting my gmc dually. After talking to a few friends who do it with smaller boats than mine I decided against it. They all said it's hard on the trailer and recommended doing some reinforcing to the trailer frame before adding the hitch. They also recommended adding a camera system on the back of the trailer to keep an eye on the boat.
We ended up buying a cheap older truck camper and are going to give that a try for this season. If it works out, we'll start looking for a newer truck camper next year.

You cannot legally exceed the GCVWR or gross combined vehicle weight rating for the truck you will be towing with. So you would add the gross vehicle weight rating of the truck plus the gross vehicle weight rating of the fifth wheel, and the gross vehicle weight rating of the trailer and this has to be less than the GVCWR for the truck. Not the actual weights, but the rated weights of each. doesn't matter if you actually weigh less, you have to sum the rated weight. If your actual weight is over the rated on any one of the vehicles or trailers, you are already illegal. In most states, max combined length is 65'. There are some exceptions for recreational vehicles. The laws in each state are different and there are Federal DMV laws which override state laws on "national network highways". Clear as mud, right?

^^^For sure. The 2013 Tested by one of the test sites was 4087 lbs for just the boat with the 343 in it.
Mine was like 4890 lbs on a single axle with about a half tank of fuel with absolutely nothing in the boat. that was also with the 303 so the lighter(though not much) 305 block based engine. I don't see anyway they are under 5K on a tandem trailer.

I did it all the time with my last 5th wheel and a pretty heavy 20' bowrider (4,000lbs). One long trip from Idaho to WY and then to several local lakes and it did just fine. I had the frame on the 5th wheel beefed up and then welded the hitch on, also had a nice tray for my Honda generator back there as well. I wasn't breaking any land speed records but it comes with some obvious risks. That being said, I see a lot of them on the roads here in WY and MT. Because you'll be so puckered up at the end of that first trip, you'll have to get your wife to pull the seat fabric out of your arse."Charlie don't surf"
