2015 Z3 AVX surf package, standard Acme propeller 2419? Propeller advice needed

I have a fairly good understanding of diameter and pitch from back in my go fast boat days.

My 2014 Z3 with the 350 indmar lemon motor came with a 537 13.5dia x 16 pitch, the boat could surf ok and topped out at 45mph on the speedo. I had added the larger bags to my pro surf package ( 3500lbs total est) and I did have the VX.
I changed to a 1235 14.5dia x 14.25 pitch, it added allot more pulling power but dropped top speed to 39mph on the speedo, quite a difference that you can feel the first time you drive it. much better for surfing.

My ordered 2015 Z3 with the 400 raptor motor comes with a 2419 15dia x 12 pitch that seems to be even more of a tug boat propeller and I feel this is overkill if the 400 raptor is any stronger that the 350 chevy?
has anyone tried a boat with this propeller? I understand the larger diameter is like added traction but with only 12" of pitch its hard to believe the boat would break 35mph?

For all around family boating on a large lake I would like to also have a propeller that is better suited to general cruising

I kept my 1235 and if it gives plenty of tug boat power should I request something other than the 2419, I was told I can do a swap if I want something else.

    Thanks

One huge factor to keep in mind. With a wake board or surf boat running tons of ballast, its just not HP and torque that we are addressing when we re-prop. Why to drag cars run big wide slicks and not skinny street tires? Its to get all that power to hook up with the pavement. All that power means nothing if the car can hook up with the track. Same with a prop. If the prop slips and cavitates, engine power means little. We have to get a prop on there thats going to bring pro slip to a minimum. On the flip side, all these big engine boats, are actually increasing the prop slip. i have a customer with a 2014 Bu 247 with the SC 550 Cadi engine. He re-prop'd from the git-go.

007 has a '15 Z3 and I have a '15 Z1 with surf x and with base raptor motor and 2419 prop. Wot top speed just peeks at 38, but is turning about 2700 rpm surfing and is very fuel efficient. I wish it had a little more top end, but then the surf economy would suffer and that's all we do is surf.

I like the idea of 15" diameter, wondering what the next size up in pitch would do?
Since I have a 1235 already that should do great for surfing like it did on my 2014.

I spoke to acme and was told that the 15x12 propeller that comes on the 2015 z3 is a stump puller and if my 1235 14.5 x 14.25 worked well for surfing on my 2014 z3 that I would be in good shap going with a 15x14.25 on the 2015 with the bigger motor.

Concerned that I would be over reving and only able to hit maybe 35mph with the 12 pich?
I can also choose from 3 different cup sizes.
          Not bra size..lol

Im curious to see the results when someone puts a different prop on the raptor 400 z3. Hope the 1235 works as I will have one on order ASAP. Keep me posted when your boat gets in.

Forgive if I misunderstood, but was there a tranny gear ratio change with the new motor? I thought that I understood that, but maybe I've mistaken which forum I am on. Malibu and Nautique have gone to a higher gear ratio on some boats, which fouls up much of what we know about which prop is best.
              Be excellent to one another.
