    Synteak or decadence mat

After seeing the Offshore's Z3 build I called our dealer and I still have the chance to change out the decadence mat for Synteak. See the attached picture of a grey interior with it.

If anyone has it or has been in a boat with it what are your thoughts.

We are concerned that it would get dirty and might be hard to clean. What if oil or sun block gets on it? Or a tool is dropped will it puncture it?
I do like how it is on the gunnels for protection.

I need to get back to the dealer on Monday if I want it. It is about a ~$450 add.

I'd say it's which one looks better. The deckadence is slightly more comfortable but the synteak is a bit less maintenance.

If it were me I'd go with the deckadence just because I think brown is a fad.

personally, I don't think the brown on the floor matches the interior scheme of that boat at all(and agree it's a fad). I'd prefer the decadence mat and would have selected something in a grey/white to protect the sides and ensure a slip-free/cool entry exit into the boat rather than the brown, but again it's all my .02.

I prefer the Sea Deck faux teak, plus they allow you to cut custom logo's. It doesn't get dirty easily and the dirt wipes away easily. Doesn't get hot and feels great on the feet. I personally hate the Matt for a number of reasons. Here is what my Z3 looks like.

I went with the decadence in mine as I was afraid I'd scuff the synteak and would hate its appearance also. I do like the synteak but think it also holds a little more heat than the decadence. Something you could do if you in between the two is order with synteak and always add the decadence at a later time and the synteak would act as a soft non slip under the mat. Was a group buy awhile back and looks like you could get into the decadence under 1k

I love the brown on the grey. I would love to do that to my boat. The issue with mine is the gas tank location. I don't think it would cover well and look good.

We have both! Seadeck on the bottom and carpet that snaps in over it when you feel like having carpet in (90% of the time we don't have it in). I bet they could do the same with decadence.

Well we could not decide so I went with both. As soon as we start to get the production pictures I will post.

                    Thank you for your input.

I went with the brown Syn Teak. Grey is Officially available now but I like the brown against steel blue accents.

I am looking for a local source of the Deckadence...MAN that stuff is pricy!!!!!

Deckadence is sold by a company in Vancouver however they aren't supposed to sell it for newer tiges.

I have the deckadence . I have been in boats with the Synteak. It's a toss up. Dacadence pluses won't stain you can rinse wine, cola, beer into the bilge. Easily removed to wash off and rinse out with a hose or pressure washer. Cool on your feet(silver)in the sun.Good grip wet or dry. Synteak looks clean, good grip wet or dry.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.
