I'm wanting to pull my ECM and send it out to Eddie at Marine power. I'm going to try and get rid of my surging issues with my speedset and Eddie thought that this might be one of the things to help. Before i go out and unbury my boat in the garage and get the tarps off of it, where exactly is it located and is there anything special i need to know before unhooking it? Any help would be great, thanks!

It should be mounted right by the air intake. Might be held on by three bolts and will have a bundle of wire going in one side and out the other side, just unplug them. -
Right on top of the engine, under that plastic grey cover i assume? Thats kinda where i was thinking.Comment

on your 07 its directly on top of engine and is shiny grey or silver and has 3 or 4 large wiring harnesses going into it. they unclip and pull out and should have 3-4 bolts holding it down. It will take eddie a couple of weeks to get it done so leave yourself plenty of time or at least in my case in did.Comment

It ended up being kinda a pointless thread. I think it took longer to get the cover off the boat than to get the ECM out. Thanks for the help anyway.Comment

If it were me I would write your name address number on the ecm with a magic marker. Ive heard of MP losing them or sending back the wrong one.Comment
