Correct tower mounted binimi set-up for 21i

Hi fellow Tige owners. I picked up my 21i (2005) yesterday. Yes, I am smiling from ear-2-ear

However, I am having trouble taking down the binimi top properly with the poles folding neatly . In stead they kind of just 'dangle' out of the sleeve. Also, it seems that I have to unscrew the brackets and push the poles inside so they will be snug..this seems very 'un-nateral' and I've already scratched and slightly bent them outta shape.

Any binimi storage tips, that would ensure the proper storage or the poles when in the 'sleeve' would be appreciated!

Thought it would be best to post a pic , so you get an idea of what I mean...see the 'loose' poles. Is that 'normal', something is just not right with the storage, should be 'tighter' than that.
