I ordered a 24VE and was told by the factory delivery would probably be on 5/15/06 but no later than 6/01/06. The boat was delivered on 6/13/06 after calls made by me to the regional sales manager. The boat was delivered with BLISTERS, SWIRL SCRATCHES, and basically cosmetically unfinished. Totally unacceptable by anyones standards. I could not believe that a company would send a product out in this shape. I called the sales manager again and he shipped me off to the customer service guy, Andrew. Andrew sad he was sorry and they would take care of it. As of 6/23/06 I still do not have a boat and hope that the local people repairing it can bring it up to like new standards. I have been very disappointed in the communications with me from the company I bought the boat from, Ski Hut Nashville TN., and from Tige. My boat is over a month late and comes in with items having to be repaired that to me are major. I am TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY AND THE ACTIONS THEY TAKE TO ACCOMODATE THIER CUSTOMERS. I understand that I am only one customer but I am the only one I care about although I hope noone else has this kind of experience.

Tige boats are always at least a month later than the expected delivery date. I would agree the attention to detail is sometimes not there. Our 24ve took 3 months, we were told 6-8 weeks. I am not overly impressed with our fiberglass and gelcoat work on the boat, it has many imperfections. Good luck getting your issues resolved.

As I have stated on the phone to you we (Tige Boats Inc.) are very sorry that your boat was sent with some gel coat flaws and I have assurred you that we would take care of everything. After talking with you, I contacted your dealer and the boat was already in the repair facility getting the items corrected. I asked if there was anything I could add to the boat as a little something to say sorry and a Transom Light was mentioned. Your dealership contacted you and asked about the light and your reply was that would be nice. I have sent a transom light to your dealership to be installed in your boat. We all at Tige are sorry that there were some issued on your new boat and I assure you these items will be corrected.
If there are any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at 325-676-7777.
Thanks
Andrew

Welcome to boating. Craps happens with every brand, not just Tige. Patiences' pays, and a few weeks in the span of a lifetime of enjoyment seems like drops in the bucket. I feel your pain, but ........“Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy &#*! what a ride!”

CTlowe,
This isn't meant to be an attack, so please don't take it that way. Maybe you were just venting as I'm sure you were very upset with this. I just thing it's kind of unfair to Tige that you go out and publicly start bashing Tige before you've even given them their chance to finish w/ their attempts to make you happy. As it sounds, I guess Andrew has stepped up to take care of you, which from my dealings w/ him is nothing less than I would have expected. I realize you had the delays and the boat should have never made it out of the factory like that... but maybe when you pushed them to deliver it, the wasn't ready and somehow it slipped through in their hurry to try and make you happy. None the less, the fact that Tige is doing everything they can to make you happy, should show you the kind of company you bought your boat from and ease your worries that I'm sure you have right now about your purchase.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

ctlowe,
If Ski Hut sends it to the same guys that did my gelcoat repair, there should be no issues. I had some small spider cracks in mine and I can't tell they were ever there.
This is my 1st Tige, but every other boat, I have owned, has had some sort of gelcoat imperfections too. They were all fixed to my satisfaction.
Hang in there, you'll love the boat.

Hope things work out for you. It really pays to develop a good relationship with your dealer. Then when you do something to mess up your ride, they'll be more likely to want to help you out when you're in a bind. Like the others said, stuff happens. Boats are not like cars, no matter how much you pay because they just don't make that many of them.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."
