Well... Looks Like Tige Lists Alone

Came across this thread on the Malibu forum.... which was taken from the Centurion Forum. Interesting indeed.

I just watched the wave video--for the life of me I just don't see how this isn't easily recreated with just messing with some dual trim tab setups and getting something that works?

    Am I just hopelessly optimistic?

I'll preface this by saying that I wakeboard 90% of the time so there is likely some bias.

These "surf systems" allow the rider to cross from one side of the wake to the other, but sacrifice wake quality to do so. Essentially one would be compromising the riding they do 99% of the time for the ability to do one trick. It just doesn't make sense.

I could see how someone might get nervous when the boat is listed, especially for other brands with shallow freeboard where you sit with you knees closer to your chest. Personally, I haven't been scared in the Tige boats we have owned.

So, I give Tige kudos for not going along with this "surf system" debacle and staying true to creating the highest quality and most adjustable wave possible.

I feel that this all boils down to how fast a boat can be set up for Regular to Goofy and vise versa. I am ok with the list of the boat, the time it takes to fill the ballast, but I guess I am not the norm. just my

GW, I'm with ya. The only positive I see in a quick switching system for me would be on those days I take out people who are not part of our "regular crew." For me that happens quite a bit, I don't work a normal M-F job so we always welcome whoever on the boat so we can go out.... it would be nice to have something level and quick for those people who couldn't care less about a world class wake. I can still lean it and jack the wake up and keep in level sometimes. Who knows.
