    Metcraft Tower

    Hi everyone.
I am new to this group, but have owned my Tige for 7 years.
My boat is a 1999 2100pre with a Metcraft tower. This tower was the factory tower for that model year. I love my boat, but not the tower. I have had to have it rewelded two times and it has started to crack again for the third time. I am thinking of replacing it, but do not want to drill more holes for different tower mounts. Anyone on this group have experience with replacing this tower? Are there towers out there that will bolt into the existing holes? Pictures of other towers on the same hull?
It will need to fold down easily to fit into the garage.
    Thanks.

That looks like a 2001 tower. You should be able to mount another tower using the same holes or at least cover one of the rear holes.

It probably wouldn't cost too much to get the holes for the old tower filled. A good fiberglass guy can make them go away and you'll never know they were there.

If you're looking for a new tower that's a snap to collapse (and won't crack), go with the Monster Tower. It costs less than most others and with the money you save, you can fill in those holes

I'm with dog on this one.

Don't bother constraining yourself to a tower that will fit the Metacrafts mounting locations..I don't know of any that would anyway.

Just find a good fiberglass guy to fill the holes for you. They really can do it so you won't be able to tell where the holes were.

What company is Tige currently using for towers? I really like the newer towers. Has anyone retro fit one onto an older boat like mine?

Towers are made in house and unfortunately we do not have a pattern for the older boats. I would check into Monster Towers and Bill will treat you right.

I have the 2005 tower on my 2001 21V. It is extremely close, but still requires some tweaking whenever I fold the tower up or down. The rear legs holes had to be filled, but to see it know you would never know it had been changed.
