I then put the light in place and marked the other three screw holes. A little bit difficult to get a drill in there. I used a 1/8" drill bit for these holes. The bottom hole you can see I used a drill bit mounted in my die grinder. The bottom hole was too close to the VX plate to get a straight hole with a regular drill. I then chamfered the holes with a 1/2" drill bit. I fished the wire from between the transom wall and the gap in the subfloor with a coat hanger. Temporarily connected the wires to the pre-wired ends shown earlier. Everything worked. Tonight, I glue and screw, then make up the wires. Putting the locker wall back in place is a piece of cake with just three screws. Then it will be on to my other upgrades; two more rev-10's with RGB LED's, WS420SQ, and RGB LED's on the rest of my speakers.

Completed underwater light installation. I ended up using .170 drill bit over the .125, the .125 kept trying to pop up the gell coat even with a large bevel around the hole. Glued it on with 3M 5200. Soldered in the wiring, re-installed the rear locker wall and ready to go.

This install looks good. I know this is going a little late, but how come you did not remove the swimstep and VX?

Too much work. It was a little cumbersome working around it, but not near as much trouble as removing would have.
