When you list the ballast, is that all the available ballast in the boat, or only the ballast filled? 6000lbs in the Axis doesn't even compute for me....

Its hard to believe, but there really was that much weight in there, plus people. The wake was ginormous, but it took 4000 RPM to go 11 mph and couldn't get over 11.8 or so. It used a full 2 tanks of gas for like 6 or 7 hours.
It was like a carnival ride, and it was fun. I think one of the reviews summed it up for me, this is the setup you would love your buddy to have, so you could ride on it from time to time, but you wouldn't want this setup for yourself.
There was weight everywhere, and on the floor in a waterbed sack. It was not comfortable.
So on one hand, you go like what the ? But then, how many boats can take 6000 lbs and still have a decent transition? Like everything else, its a mixed bag.
GREAT VIDEOS! Great Riding! Looks like every boat manufacturer has a legit surf boat now. X2 on going. I went the previous 2 years and missed this year. Its a blast!
