I did mean 900(+/-) in just the bag. Wasn't factoring the tank. We set up 90% of our Z3's with the 84" Fly High Tige sacs(W005 @930 lbs.) so basically the same as the new surf X sacs. Thats what I am basing my opinion that the boat will need more weight on. Thats if your running a light crew. If you have a good size crew than your gonna be golden. I bet at polar bear they had the boat full of people. Maybe with the new AVX you don't need more ballast, like Tige's didn't need ballast back in the late 90's with the original TAPS!!!

Bottom line try the boat and see if it works for you. Most people are going to add to the stock ballast in any boat.

@Booms…Yes just still a 250 lb tank and the rest bags.

My 15 z3 with surf x does just fine with only my wife and I in the boat. I don't have the AVX as I ordered to early, but the few guys I know on here that have it have a little better wave output than mine. Probably not a huge difference but there are some changes. The times that we have 2-4 more ppl in our boat the wave is phenominal with plenty of height and push. I have larger custom sacs laying around that I could throw in my z3 but have no desire to do so at this time as I don't want to lose anymore storage and the wave is plentiful.

Thanks guys for all the input! I truly appreciate it. It is amazing how stressful ordering a boat can be.

I put a lot of time into our 08 RZ2 and this boat I just want to get it and enjoy with very limit tinkering. So if it is recommended to up the sacs I would want to do that now versus later. I usually ride with my wife and two boys (8 & 10), or with 4 - 8 buddies.

We decided on the following -
        2015 Tige Z3.jpg

I placed the order yesterday and now have 29 days until the final build has to be turned in.

My dealer and I are pimping Tige to wait until April to deliver the boat as we are in the middle of winter here. Received another 6" of snow last night and the last thing I want is our brand new boat trailered through salt covered roads.

As soon as I start to get build pictures I will post them.

        Thanks again everyone!

I think you may have misunderstood my question/comment. I was not questioning your experience with the Z3 and or how you have found to set them up, simply asking if you think that the new 2015 Surf-X ballast sac is actually 900 lbs? It sure looks 1200+ to me.

Let me try to clarify. The sac itself is 900-950 lbs(claimed as we know they are +/-and depends on who you talk to as to 900 or 950)) then the hard tank below it at 250 for a total of 1200 per rear point as illustrated in the Tige images. This was also explained in the dealer release webinar. The 1200 sac/ tank total. The sacs themselves are not 1200 on top of the 250. I did measure out the 2015s we got and the sac is almost exact to the wake makers Tige custom 84" sac or W005's. I'm guessing that is what it is or based upon. Its a roughly 84" enzo style sac.

wake makers Tige custom 84" sac or W005's
Which are one in the same and was actually designed by Tige for Fly High.

Thats was I was getting as, as the pictures ive seen gave the appearance that the sacs were larger than 900 lbs.

If I am wanting to add to the stock ballast what should I be buying/swapping out to? I tried to find majestics posts from the Polar Bear but could not find anything.

I was thinking of not getting underwater transom lights. Will that hurt re-sale?

We maybe use them once a year as the bugs are terrible during the summer and our water is more root beer color than clear.

IMO, no not at all! Its an easy to install option after the fact and relatively inexpensive as well.

X2 not at all. It's strictly a nicety. Not a make or break for any buyer I have every heard. The boats are all prewired for it right to the transom and in the TT, so its really an easy install.

Thanks for the info guys. If I get bored next offseason I can always install 1 or 2 lights. Do you know fi the tower is prewired for the tower mood lights?
