I have not been a big fan of installing amps on top of the sub box. Just seems bad to me to install an amp on top of a powerful sub. I have seen guys do this often, so it must not rattle the amp into oblivion...but still.

Can anyone comment on the utility of mounting an amp on a sub box. I am not necessarily criticizing the install, I just would like some additional input if this is an unsubstantiated concern.
    Be excellent to one another.

The box shouldn't move if built right; just the woofer!

This is 3/4 MDF Wood and anchored to the boat floor. Shouldn't move or rattle any amps.

Does that box interfere at all with the front ballast bag and pump? It's a clever idea to install in that location.

on the 15 it would interfere with the ballast bag a little, but for what that sub, box, and amps weigh I would say it would be a toss up and the weight would probably be equal.

GT do you have pics of the helm install or is it still in production? Thanks for posting the others. I hope to be able to install 2 subs under the port locker in a similar manner to this install and also one under the helm. I haven't decided on sub brand yet. I've heard lots about the RE audio being a good bang for the buck sub and also like the TREO brand subs. Any insight anyone on these brands?

The picks I have for the helm did not turn out that well. Nick should be able to post up some picks of that.

I stopped in and listened for awhile this afternoon! I'm not joking, my ears are still ringing. I think this is the first boat I have been in where I was yelling to someone and I couldn't hear my own voice. Those subs hit pretty danged good, G Dub definitely needs another one! Nice job, can't wait to see people's reaction at the boat show!

Okay, We got our first proofs back from the graphic designer for the wrap of this Z3.

What one do you all like? What would you keep? What would you change?

Wow! Very cool. #3 almost too busy. I think I like the colors of #1, but maybe the layout of #2. For what its worth.

                              Very Cool!
#2 and #3 are too busy for me.
I like #1. But the stars might be cool with a red, white and blue theme...USA!

My heart votes red (I go by Tallredrider on the other forums I visit), but it is too busy. If you make the #2 red, I would vote for it.
