I got the hatch from Lorenz & Jones the seat feels flat and still fits in the location it is just more snug. The structural integrity is great very solid and see no issues at all especially with it centered in that area. The seating layout should be similar if not the same...I cannot recall but I also thought my '13 and prior boats had an access panel or area under the furthest forward bow seat but I could be mistaken.

Awesome. I just found this on sale on Amazon.

It is en route! Might be a bit big, but for the price I'll risk it.

Mine most certainly does not have an existing hatch. The whole bow area is completely flat.

my boat comes with openings under the seat, I see yours does not, does cutting a hole in there void warranty? I don't have any as I am second owner but as first I would be concerned however it sure in necessary to have that there.

If cutting holes voids my warranty, this thread is my noose.

(did you catch that double entrendre there??)

Travism came, over today and we mounted the new Wake9 TAPS plate and my Vx brackets. Two more off the list! Thanks for the help Travis.

Being redneck Albertans we gave up with finesse and used an angle grinder to remove the rivets.

So I did some work on the bow ballast today. By pulling the port nag completely out I could get in there and sniff around. The starboard bag certainly wasn't in the best position. I ended up drilling a few holes to get access. It worked well. I'm still unsure if I want to add a hatch up there due to structural integrity. But I can cut it out larger later so that is still an option.

These holes didn't hit much wood so structure should stay strong.

It's so hard to get a good shot under there with my phone. This is what it looked like once I straightened out the front starboard bag and slid in the port bag. There does appear to be a lot of space up there and the bags 'should' be able to use it. I'm eager to see if it makes a difference.

Lastly, these came with my Vx brackets. What are they for?

I figured it out. They are for the platform. The Vx sits on them. I guess I got a spare.

Looking good JMo, how much bigger is the new plate compared to the old one?

                      Comment

It's the same length and about 3" wider. It is a slightly different shape and doesn't taper. Also far stronger. I like it.

For anyone else doing this, I don't think you need that Bennett bracket. The stock one is fine.

Ya my wife let me keep playing.

The boat is almost ready for action. I just need some more ballast hose to finish the wake9 bags. Then hook them up and give it a good cleaning. Now we can tackle getting all your goodies installed.

Got my 1433 installed too. Clearance is better than when I bought the boat but still not great. A touch over 3/4".

Well I finally got it all done! It's not even June yet!! I know it's terrible. May was a crazy month at work.

Time to get this rig on the water and see how it does. Here is what I changed:

                              - added Wake9 Z1 bags. Cross drain and vent

                              - added cross over pump

                              - fixed front bags

                              - moved heater up

                              - opened up cavity for XS10FA

                              - added Wake9 taps plate

                              - installed proper Vx brackets

                              - added magic button

                              - added Genius dual bank charger

                              - added new storm shield.

Now that that's all done, here is what's next. My wife calls it a grown man's doll house. No wonder I have no time to go boating.

Wells I figure after two surf sessions it's time for a report.

All the wave changes are working. The wave is much bigger with far fewer people. The first time out it was kind of messy. However we were running the new wake9 plate at taps 3 or 4. Travism suggested Taps 8 so we tried it. That immediately altered the wave. Way more push and much cleaner.

The crossover pump was awesome. I barely notice the extra fill times. I'd say we are ready to surf in 8 minutes. The front bags hold about 3.5 to 4 minutes of water instead of the 2.5 before. So it seems they were a bit mangled before.

The subwoofer is so much louder. That is a must upgrade for everyone. It eats up that 600 watts just fine. It's not the cleanest sub but it makes the necessary frequencies.

Speaking of must-haves.... The MAGIC Button!! Wow. I left it on all day. Never had cruise control incident where I forgot to restart the cruise before towing a surfer. Stereo never turns off. Simply awesome.

The 1433 propeller works just fine. It still struggles at full load to get on plane. We were trying to run 'chase boat' to Travism to get some pics but the boat would dog it trying to push through his wake. Runs about 3200 RPM at surf speed.

As a side note we did back to back tests of my Z1 and Travism's Z3. My opinion was his wave was a touch longer otherwise they are the same. My boat had more people in it so it was bigger on this day.

In all of this the only pic I got was my buddy.
