That's why I recommended BLUE LocTite. It's meant to resist vibration but be removable with tools - in this case the handle that's already attached.
Red LocTite of Death, now... that requires heat and would be a Very Bad Idea.
Another trick I use sometimes is a dab of Thread Sealant. It works well as an anti-vibration "gentle LocTite" even though it's technically meant to seal the threads.
The idea, obviously, is to cause the handle to not back out, without requiring it to be cranked down very hard.Last edited by IDBoating; 10-29-2014, 10:20 PM.
