I'm probably a cheapskate, but for the exterior, I still use a 50/50 vinegar-water solution with a bit of liquid Turtle Wax thrown in. I also have some Boat Bling Hot Sauce and Transom Sauce for spots that don't come out with the vinegar/water (but I've not had to use those much since I went from a mostly black to a mostly white boat). The Transom Sauce tends to leave a bit of a film.

For the interior, after most trips, I just use warm water with a little bit of dish soap (again, probably my cheap side coming out). For spots/stains that need cleaning, I've been using Boat Bling's Vinyl Sauce. I bought some Hula vinyl cleaner, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Good to know, thanks guys. I have used on my pontoon without that result, but I will stop. It was trying to lull me to sleep I guess.

And the areas that you used the magic eraser should be treated with a protectant to help prevent a worse stain that will require more material to be removed to clean.
        What protectant would you recommend?

Just spent a lot of time on phone with guys at performanceboatcandy.com--have a good plan for the boat. Obviously will be using their products for this first go-around! Extremely helpful.

I would use 303 as a protectant for the vinyl, or Boat Bling condition sauce or whatever conditioner they have from PBC.

Performance Boat Candy Vinyl Cleaner was great. I haven't tried the conditioner yet , but I want to. I will wait for the next big sale and load up on it as well.

Did not. Took a free shipping coupon from them, saved $15. He also gave me lots of dollars worth of free advice.

I bought their detail kit for interior and exterior, so have the cleaner and the conditioner. He also advised me on what to do after my magic erasing--couple of apps with a good soak in.
