    1998 Pre 2200V - tell me what you like/don't

I've come across a 1998 Tige v-drive that is in my own backyard (okay 2 hours away as opposed to 12) that looks very promising. I guess this would be the PRE 2200V model. What does the PRE represent anyway? Just a naming convention or hull design?

I'm trying to track down some pictures of the interior and rest of the boat as the seller is out of town until next week - I imagine it doesn't look much differnet than a '99+ but I don't know for sure. It has the same setup for the most part with TAPS, etc.

Can anyone share with me what they know and like / don't like about this vintage boat? It's a little older than I was first considering but I'm open to it.

Here's the text of the ad:
98 Tige V-drive 22 foot w/Tapps wake system. Teak ski platform. Custom cover, tandem trailer, bimini top, tower, cd player with tower speakers, open bow.

Seller (2nd owner) said it's got about 370 hours, loaded with just about everything you could think of, and he has all the maintenance records since it was new. Selling because of a baby on the way.

    Thanks-
    Greg

I have a 19992200v that I purchased new in Oct. 98. I love the boat. I had a tower installed aftermarket, perfect pass then upgraded to wakeboardpro 2yrs ago. I don't have a ballast system but prefer sandbags. The only problems I have had with the boat was the shaft seal packing gland wore out and I had it replaced with the PSS system and it makes my boat a dry bottom boat. I have been vigilant in my service and cleaning of the boat and have had no major problems. The wake is great for wakeboarding with added ballast and people. I have the 315hp mercruiser engine. Go to my gallery and check pictures of the boat. My only complaint would be the painted prestige trailer. I live in Louisiana and galvanized is the way to go.
Any more information you need I would be happy to help.
