    Need replacement tower

Well my goofy son decided to drive under a bridge walkway the other day and unfortunately the tower didn't clear it. So we find out that Tige didn't make the tower (common I assume) and that Extreme Tower was the supplier. Tige recommends Samson Tower or Monster Tower.

Looking for any suggestions as I have always liked what I thought was a stock (or upgrade) Tige tower on our 2008 24ve.

I have a Samson tower on my 2006 24ve and it has been a great tower. I have looked at their new stuff as well at the boat show and I really like their quality.

If I bought a new boat, I would consider going with no tower and adding the Samson aftermarket tower. I love the Alpha Z, but it is just a little low for my liking.

If you are on a tighter budget, then go Monster.
            Be excellent to one another.

definitely do the Samson tower as it will look about the same and you will be able to re use your racks which will save money. Monster towers are cheap built hints the cheaper price. Is your son still alive? Post pics if you can as I'm curios how much damage it would do in a case like this. How fast was he going?

I agree JLG. Monster towers are OK, but they are cheap. They are fine on a $8000 boat, but I would never put one on a high end newer boat. To nice of a boat to have a $900 tower on it. Spend the money for a quality tower that will help resale, not hurt it.

Like others said, Samson. I'd love to replace the Eseries tower on my RZ2. It's one of the few things I really dislike about my boat. It looks fine but it's quite shaky. If I had the extra cash laying around I'd be going with either the Samson Blade or the Razor. Both are nice and supposed to be solid.

Thanks for the input; we were leaning towards Samson but it is nice to get solid recommendations. Yeah the kid is still alive, someone has to pay the 500.00 deductible. Even if my insurance wasn't footing the bill I would put the Samson on it (you get what you pay for). Years ago I put a Airboom on a Larson and although it was nice, it falls into that category putting a 800 dollar on a 8,000 dollar boat.

I am going with the Switchblade. One of the reasons I have always loved the 24ve was the sweeping tower that came with it (that is what 95% of the 24ve have on them) so I wanted to stay with that concept. The fold down ease is a plus and at 4100.00 (stock option) it better be nice.

                    Thanks for the input.

Before you spend your money, check out Joystick towers, particularly their Pro Series, and my review of buying and installing one.

Just offering an option with which I have direct personal experience. Obviously, the buyer must make his own choice! Hopefully he will report back on what he does, and post photos of the result.

Put a Samson tower on our RZ4 last year to replace a cracked Extreme (with UGLY X braces)

The Samsons are $$ but they are made in the US, you deal with whose name is the company name (Scott, great guy and very helpful)

I love the way mine looks and is a lot stronger than the old tower.

We powder coated mine in a semi-flat custom color locally

Highly recommend the Samson from experience.
