Thx everyone! I really wanted to get s crazy colored boat but I think white is always in and never gets old and cops are not going to be looking as much at a white boat as they would an orange blue and green boat and white is way less cleaning then black. I'm going to add a front tige decal on the boat, think I should just go for the all black and white thing or match the little silver in the decal? Also what is everyone's opinion on. Tinted windshields, dealer is saying not a good idea you can't see at all, which would be a bad thing but anyone with first hand experience and do they have to take all the casing off the glass?

                    Congrats on the new boat!

Just to clear up the air though, I have been following this thread and I feel i need to reply to some of the people here.

The Z3 is my boat. The wakesurf company does not own the boat but, are allowed to use it. I would never let them use it without me on the boat. Yes it is the same boat Tige used with Josh Carr. Yes the boat only has ~55 hours on it, and no mater what people say on this forum I can personally guarantee the boat has never been in salt water. If we did use it in salt water, the trailer would be destroyed (note that your new boat has the same trailer), and we would have been able to use it 5x more often in San Diego Bay.

If the Tige dealer who sold the boat originally, is the dealer your buying it off of, and is one of the oldest Tige dealers out there tells you the warranty is transferable, I would take his word, and I am sure you can get it in writing.

The boat never rested on the bottom of the lake as stated. The boat was in a small bay in big bear lake. The water level dropped so much that we were stuck in the bay. We had to wait 3 weeks as recommended to wait for some rain. The rain came, but water didnt raise enough. We took the boat out of the bay and hit the propeller on something. Towed it in (afraid to start it after the hit) and went straight to the Tige dealer.

As for the surface rust, when i saw the photo you posted I called Chris to confirm that was my boat. I didn't believe it and was shocked. I am working with Chris on cleaning it up.

All this being said, you bought a great boat, from a great dealer and the Tige Community is incredible! I will be back later when my kid are older and we dont have soccer, dance practice, dance recitals, etc every weekend taking away boat time...

                    Good Luck and congrats again!

I'm going to comment on this because I am the one that posted that it IS NOT transferable. How do I know? I worked for a Tige Dealership. I oversaw the service department and I have owned a number of new Tiges. I can also read so here is what the Warranty document Tige publishes says:

                      WHO IS COVERED
The warranty is provided to the original retail purchaser of the new boat. The Tigé LifePlus Lifetime Replacement Warranty is transferable to a second owner under limited circumstances. For this warranty to apply, the dealer must submit the owner registered boat immediately upon delivery. Owner must operate and maintain the boat in accordance with the owner and service manuals.

So maybe..just maybe..before you clear the air and let us all know how wrong we are…you might want to get the FACTS straight. The transferable Lifetime plus is strictly the hull warranty and only covers the hull in case of a catastrophic failure which Tige claims they have never had.

I can't comment as to what did or didn't happen to your boat. Not sure why someone(assumably the dealer) would have mislead a buyer about something bad if it wasn't true. Dealers normally make things sound better than they are not worse, thats their job! I have worked for multiple dealers and been around literally 100's of inboard boats and the only ones I have seen that looked like yours were older or used in salt. We sold a number of used 13 Z3's this year with similar hours and none of the trans/ Vdrives looked like yours. Not saying it was or wasn't, but pictures don't lie and thats what it appears like. Maybe you just had a poor paint job. As to who owned the boat, again why would the potential buyer make the fact that a wake surf company owned it up? He was obviously told that. That to 99% of people would be a negative(commercially owned) so not sure why potential buyers are being told negative things that aren't true.

Seems to me you might want to clear the air with the dealer representing you. Seems like what is being told to potential buyers and what you say to be true isn't adding up.
