well, after a loooonnnggggg day, I did arrive back home to Colorado with my "new," 2005 Tige 24v. There always has to be a few hiccups in these processes. After getting to Utah and taking a look at the boat, we pulled it outside to hook up water and give it a test idle before headed to the lake for the demo. We started it and I noticed that the perfect pass was kicking off and on and the gauges were all acting up and not reading correctly. The guys at Croft Marine, I have to give em a great review, they got on the phone, got someone there, a perfectionist btw, and he cleaned up a ton of loose wires and got some older connections fixed. That right there fixed every issue. Pretty much an all day event, and I still had a 9 hour drive home. We made the trek to Jordanelle lake in Park city and got in a test run. A couple of sweet things that I found out about the boat that I didn't know before. It has the Rival ballast in it, so 4 sacs in all 4 corners. Also has an electric actuated "gate," that when open with the push of a switch will fill all the bags quickly while under way. Also, the receipt from last September that I found, upgrading the perfect pass to stargazer and replacing the steering cable. Had a great time with it, we are very excited to get some custom sacs ordered (the wave was decent looking already with the rival sacs, I think they are 440 in the rears and maybe 200? in the fronts) and perfect pass is amazing!! Gotta replace an amp, as it had water dripping on it from the glovebox cupholder and fried the sub amp but all in all a great trip.

A word of advice. If you don't have the metal handles on those board racks, you might want to invest in them now. I have almost the exact same tower on my 08 RZ2. This year both broke off and my racks were left loose and kept swinging around hitting people in the head. Ordered the metal ones from Samson and problem solved. I think they were like $28 each, but we'll worth the investment. Otherwise great looking boat man. CONGRATS!!!!!!Sometimes you have to do what feels good, rather than what feels right.

Rival ballast install...Haven't heard of that in a while. Maybe the guy learned to install it from one of us here...
One very special member of this forum did an awesome write up of how to do the install of that system one time... http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...allast-Install
The gate was an awesome idea, but it will fail, probably sooner rather than later. If it fails in the on position, your ballast will fill as you go whether you want it or not, and if it fails in the off position, you won't have ballast for that trip. So do yourself a favor and replace it with a manual valve.
Or better yet, remove the valve altogether. Then you have the problem that the scoop forcefeeds your ballast. So pray that they didn't use 3M 5200 to put it in and turn the scoop around backwards, or replace it with a mushroom through hull altogether.
I think I can see a tiny gelcoat crack around the ski pylon. There is nothing supporting the pylon but fiberglass. It is actually plenty strong, but make sure the nut underneath is tight, or more cracks are on their way.Be excellent to one another.
