I'm looking at buying a new loaded 2013 z3 with convex vx and 1600 pounds of ballast

1) is $77,000 Canadian a good price for this boat?. It's brand new

2) is 1600 pounds enough for surfing?

Where are you guys finding all these now 2 year old hold overs? Are dealers really sitting on these boats that long? For reference my dealer just sold 2 used 2013 Z3's very well optioned boats(one with 409) for 64-65K range with about 30 hours. Neither had the VX, but both had pro ballast plus enzo sacs in the rear. Thats about what that boat is going to be worth as soon as you title it and use it. Not sure of the conversion, but I's say around 65-66K US dollars.

And NO 1600 lbs isn't going to be nearly enough to surf the Z3.

to me when I see a 2 yr old boat on the lot a person has to question how "good" the dealer actually is? I guess a red flag comes up in a case like that to me. Is the boat that ugly I doubt it, but why hasn't the dealer wanted to deal on this boat in 2yrs? Are they that hard to get along with and maybe low balling on trade ins and overpriced from day one on the new boat? How good is their service after the sale? I would definitely be skeptical and ask around to some of the other Canadian TO and get opinions on this dealer. As far as price that would be around $70K US and seems reasonable but I would say there is wiggle room if they really want move it. Sounds like my local dealer and hints the reason I won't deal with him.

1600lbs is nowhere near enough on the Z3. Mine has 3500 and is very nice, and could easily handle more but we like as is. The ballast can always be updated. If the price and deal is right then jump on it.

There was one at the Las Vegas dealership, but it has disappeared, I wonder if it finally sold. They also had an R20 and an Rz4. I hope that they were able to get them out to someone who will use them.

a dealer in AZ picked those 3 leftovers up, so id say its still for sale. Bad05 knows more.

on my earlier statement maybe that Canada dealer took it off another not so worthy dealer so again wouldn't hurt to ask around about dealer.

germainemarine.com also has a 13 and I don't believe these dealers had them earlier this year so possibly boat swapping another dealer to help move inventory

All 3 2013 Tiges are in Mesa, AZ at Germaine Marine, like above in JLGs post. This was a dealer swap for some other boats that Offshore wanted. Hopefully they order some new 15s, however the Vegas market is still suffering and the low lake level isn't helping. Some of the ramps are down to 1 lane and anyone that knows Mead knows that isn't going to fly on a Sat or Holiday weekend!

$77,000 CDN if it is in Canada, is not a horrible price, but not a great price either.

The pro ballast is really needed though. I'd ask for an upgrade, or a discount to upgrade yourself. I think it is just a new bag and all the plumbing is there. The difference is in the bow.

Canadian prices are higher than us. Quick search on Calgary kijiji and you will see demo and used 14 Z3 with hours on them for 91 to 114 g. So with those prices 77 for a 13 seems good.

I just know what I paid.... and that is my frame of reference. it does depend on build options.

What do you consider loaded? Does it have the 409 6.0l motor?

77 is a good price. I would not sell my 13 for that cheap that is for sure.

Even the pro ballast is not enough weight for the z3. You need the pro ballast up front and replace the rear bags with L shaped bags that hold a minimum of 1200 lbs. Maybe they can get you the updated bags?

If it does not have the 6.0l then that is likely why it is sitting. The resale with the 5.7 on the big boats is terrible. The 6.0 is more fuel efficient and way better power.
