This. You think that 2014 owners are a little frustrated, can you imagine if you just bought a 2015 thinking you had the baddest available and then all these new options and standard features roll out. They could have waited till 2016. I mean, it's not like anyone even knew they were even working on it, not even the dealers seem to know anything until it hits the website or the forums.

I wonder if sales were slipping too much and they were losing out to the competition, this seems like the only rational reason why they wouldn't have waited for the 2016 model year and launch these changes mid 2014.

Look, I can be rational and understand that I'm in a small percentage of buyers - let alone boat buyers, that are on these forums and are involved in these types of mediums after the sale. I am also happy with my boat as it currently sits. Overall I guess I'm frustrated with the entire non-transparent boat industry as a whole.

Remember the 'tige surf system' thread. It ranted for 14 pages or so about how Tige needs a surf system. Now they have something like that. I think they were eager to bring it to market. I just hope for Tige's sake that it is tested at the factory and not by the first few dozen owners and dealers who have to figure it out, like the bracketgate scandal.
      Be excellent to one another.

You hit the nail on the head with this statement. I am one of the supposedly "All new 15 model" boat owners with the baddest convex VX on it and BAM 2 weeks after building and purchasing mine there is another "All new 15 model" Vx system. A little frustrating YES! I am glad they have updated to a nicer version but damn 2 weeks after I ordered a NEW 15!! Not 6 months but 2 weeks later!! It sounds like there will be an available upgrade for my boat but at what additional cost as I already paid for the "updated VX" or so I thought? Just a little frustration and I'm sure others that jumped on board early on the 15 can feel where I'm coming from. Hopefully Tige will step up to the plate and retrofit these early 15s at a DECENT price for the few of us that believe 100% in their product and that is why I purchased the new 15 with raptor engine and other changes at the time where most were skeptical about it. I do love my 15 Z3 but would love to have the updated VX. Just my thoughts take it for what its worth.

I was told there will be no updating 15's already produced to the AVX. That info came straight from the factory. Was told that boats with it have to be built with it. That there is no retrofitting..period. That its not an option.

The 2 weeks later thing does really suck. Releasing something 2.5 months into a new model year isn't well thought out IMO. But it is what it is. If they just got it dialed in and its ready I really don't think it would make sense to sit on it only next July when they started punching out 16's. Unfortunately, they aren't always going to release what is coming as dealers still need to sell the remaining current stuff. There is always going to be someone who just bought and missed the new product by 2 weeks. This time your that guy. Also in this day and age of the internet they are extra tight lipped on what is in the pipeline. One slip and its across the inter web like a wild fire.

This is nice info. My dealer is saying yes it can so again more grey shady area where the only one that gets the short end of the stick is the consumer. I guess time will tell or hopefully Tige will release more info on this forum etc to put us early 15 owners minds to ease.

If you have a product that is going to make you more competitive in a very competitive market(tow boats) your not going to sit on it for 10 months. Thats just not smart business. AVX is no where close to production from what I was told. Its finished testing and is in the parts sourcing stage. Was told its going to still be a few months until boat will be produced with them. I'm guessing around boat show time is when you will be able to order a boat with AVX. They aren't producing boats with it yet. So your talking maybe 1/2 way thru the model year(Tige's year break was 4th of July holiday this year). I wouldn't really call it an early roll out. Whats early. They are bringing a product to market when its ready as far as I see. The 14 to 15 break was right where it usually is.
