^^^exactly, I always need a better driver cause I'm always usually the driver. I don't go out with the same group nor does the same person drive my boat when I surf, so there's always a learning curve and I always get the short end of the surf session. I'm sure I'm not the only boat Owner that experiences this.

I'm in the same boat "pun intended" as you. Seems like I pull all day and get a small amount of time being pulled myself. I was hoping this remote would allow me to take day trips to lake by myself. You know set the TT jump in water with board and push a button on remote so it throttles to speed and stops when needed along with allowing other settings like stereo control etc. More less an auto pilot I mean I don't see why the US coast guard wouldn't approve such a system! In the meantime I guess I'll have to settle for this adjustability of the wave only and am sure I will be happy with it.

Glad to see the innovations that Tige is making. If you don't like the steps they are making then jump ship and buy elsewhere and stop the bitching about it on Tigeowners!
Pretty sad when other inboard boat sites have ppl that are welcoming the new system and glad to see the steps Tige is taking towards a better surf world and us here on TO can't do the same. Everyone seems to want to see the new TIGE system fail before it hits the market! Again just my

Those that think this remote is stupid doesn't understand the power and future of Wearable electronics. This remote could be just the beginning.

Imagine a device you wear that adjusts the shape of wake for both surf and wakeboard based on the proximity of you and the boat, whether you flip a toggle switch for reg/goofy, etc... Pretty easy to imagine in this day and age.

X2 begone I am excited for the new steps they are taking with technology. And I wasn't attacking your comment when I quoted you was trying to be sarcastic about the auto pilot. But it would be sweet

I didn't take it as such, I was just commenting on general about people that may think that a remote is dumb. BTW I wish the coast Guard would approve autopilot. Who knows we may buy a Google powered boat in the future.

Begone and JLG, you guys hit the nail on the head, if you want surf gate buy a Malibu. If you want NSS buy a Nautique...... etc etc. Tige is trying to go their own way with a different set of goals. I applaud them for that. hell I'll even beta test it for them. As soon as I get my 2015 Z1, that is.

The remote is for the AVX…not the TAPS. This is not retrofittable. Even to 2015 that have already been produced.

Do we know for sure the AVX is no retrofittable?

I believe you need the tigé touch2 with the new setup.

Surely Tige would allow us to upgrade. Especially those of us that just bought the "Newly Developed" Z1/Z3 and ASR's. If not then that's 5 options that were 1-2 years out from brand new boats models. Can you imagine if you just bought the first few ASRs!?!?

                      1. Raptor Motor (I don't expect this to be retrofitted)
                      2. Tige Touch2
                      3. Adaptivx
                      4. Surflink
                      5. Surf X Ballast

                      Wow.

My question to you ,can you name me a car manufacturer that when they change an engine , chasis or any other change to a car in mid year or come out with an improved model offer a retrofit to the public other then a call back for safety issue?

Of course they don't, but then again not many car manufacturers change their product offerings every year for a particular model. The industry has a 6-7 year cycle for products. Yes updates and changes are made along the way and mid year refreshes, but also the public is more informed on when and what those future products are going to be. That's why we go to car shows and we buy car magazines. And I went to this year's boat show, and no mention from the sales people about the 2015 Raptor Engine, or the upcoming AVX or Surf X Ballast, etc...

Trust me I know this better than most, I buy 2-3 cars per year and do my research. Also, go back to 2012/2013 and see all the back lash bmw got when they simply power bumped their V8TT engines by 40 hp.

I think it'd funny when you get sold on the best surfing boat in the biz, or the baddest wakeboard / surf boat (ASR) and then not even 6 months go by and they change almost everything they just sold you on.... So wait, I'm confused - so how does this benefit the consumer and their customers?

Tige should have had this all set to go for all the 2015 models. If I just got a 2015 with vx, and then they released the new vx I would be super pissed. Considering 2015 are just now starting to show up. It should have been ready to go for all 2015 made boats. Just my 2 Cents

Well I agree but also know that's not really the "norm" for boat manufactures. The manufactures typically switch in July (vins change). Most of the new stuff won't be released until the surf expo or dealer meeting in a few weeks. They start to implement small changes and updates to the boats but the big new features won't be available tell later in the fall...

Honestly, if Tige had done a better job of promoting/teasing upcoming new product developments - surf systems, ballast updates, improved TT..... we most likely would not have purchased our new boat and have waited to see what Tige's new offerings were and how they performed compared to the compition. While we had been looking, the ASR would have been our go to in their line up, however it was not a competitive surf boat at that time. Our Tige dealer would have had a better chance to sell us a new boat if we new there were significant improvements on the way. Yes, all the little teasers that manufactures throw out kinda suck because we want more information but there was NO mention - Not even on the Tige forum. I hope that these improvements work out well for Tige and get people back onto their dealers floors to consider them against the "surf system" brands, they seem to make a well built boat and are obviously doing things to keep themselves in the market.
