This is just dumb then, I want a damn surf system where I don't have to use 3500 pounds of ballast to get a good surf wave.

Malibu, Nautique are doing it right. This is just a gimmick for when you have a terrible driver.

In my experience, those system do not eliminate the nee for added ballast, just how its distributed. I did a build on a G25 last spring and added a pair of 1100# jumbos in the rear lockers just for surfing. Last weekend, we saced a 23 LSV with 4K+. I totally get the principal behind those surf system, but ballast is still required to generate the wave.

I ride behind a G23 quite often and it needs no ballast with 3 people on the boat to have an awesome surf wave. My Z3 needs thousands of pounds.

I have also read that the G25 does not do anywhere near as well. I have not personally ridden behind a G25.

A day late... I just inked deal on Nautique 230 today. I was really torn, but it's light years ahead in what it can do.

You mean on top of the stock 2850 pound stock ballast? When you put 2850 pounds in your Tige, it gets pretty good too. You may not realize that it has nearly 3,000 pounds of ballast. I would doubt that you can surf it well without any ballast. And the boat itself weighs 1000 pounds more than a Z3.

I haven't seen a boat that doesn't require ballast to throw a decent surf wave unless its a Yacht! HAHA. All boats require a massive amount of weight and the only difference you get in a G is they can clean the wave from side to side in an instant. My buddies G25 is nice but not $140k nice. Ill stick with my Z3

Just helped out at a demo where one of Nautiques pro wakesurfers had the G23 weighted with just stock ballast in the rear tanks, no belly and no extra bags... wave was clean, long and very tall. Most people are overweighting the G23's with no real gain except in the gas bill.

I guess I have never thought it would be nice to change the shape of the wave in the middle of a shred. If I'm riding taps at 5 I ride it through until I fall, if I want it at 1 I just tell the driver when they pass me by. Or I just signal with my hand during the session. Needless technology?

Yeah, I don't really understand what can be controlled from the remove via the site... regardless, I think it'll be a cash cow for replacement parts haha. Black floating remotes will turn up at your local beaches soon

This remote idea is pretty dang brilliant. How many times are we yelling at the driver to adjust taps up or down? And if they can integrate the switch of the wake then damn, they got a winner cause that's always been controlled by the driver and coordinated by the surfer which is all about perfect timing. Pretty sweet idea if you ask me. Please just let me retrofit this on my 2014 Z3!!!

When will they release it so that owners can do the Research and Development to find out if it works?

I'm not 100% sure from watching the video if the remote controls anything other than the TAPS. In the other thread, there was talk of a shifting Convex VX which would be cool, but the teaser video does not give up that information. Nor does it show anyone doing a side to side transfer, which would seem to be available. Having a remote seems to be the dumbest thing I have seen in a while.

I think you need a better driver....

I can communicate with any of my drivers 80 ft back wakeboarding very easily. A good observant driver will know what to do without having to be told, let alone yelled at. Only time I have a problem is after a double-up, and saying "can you open it up or close it in a bit more"
