Thoughts on adding these to my tower?

Thinking about adding a set of these racks to my alpha Z. I don't use a Bimini so was thinking of putting them on the top. See any problems with tapping into the tower??

I have something similar and I really like it. I didn't have to tap my tower bc I have a 2.5 in SAMSON tube tower so I just added the hard ware. I can fit two boards on each side.

We drilled and tapped my alpha Z but it was only to hold a light bar that was not much weight. This is a cool idea keep us updated if you go down this path.

I am also interested in these... How much you paying for them? You doing the work yourself?

Interesting mounting them "upside down". Here's a pic of mine. Not an Alpha Z but Samson Razor...I think mine were $250ea or $450 for two. Sorry the pic is a little dark.

I found them over on wakeworld. One of the members makes them and sells them for $500/pair (does not include the pads). His contact is Corson.piper@gmail.com. Apparently nobody has added them to an alpha Z.

Given the height of the Z I am going to mount mine on top. Plus I don't use a Bimini.

I had Corsons surf racks on my 24V and they worked great.

I am just not sure about drilling into my tower. That gives me lots of anxiety.... I would be interested to hear if anyone has done it.
