Tips for a new 1993 2000slm comp owner

I just purchased my first boat, a 1993 2000slm comp that has been in my family for 14 years and am looking for tips and insight to get it cleaned up and running its best.
    - What are the best upgrades you have made to help it run stronger and pull better?
    - What is the best thing to do to clean up and restore the exterior?
    Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Dallin

I'm a recent new owner of a '95 2002 FSLM - similar boat but open bow. Can't say anything about pull better - other than I switched from the SS Prop to a new ACME for a bit of a difference there. On the exterior, I used HD UNO with a moderately agressive cutting pad to remove oxidation, then followed up w/ 3M wax and polish - has held up very well over the summer.

Have fun! this boat puts out a great ski wake (or lack of wake).

Thanks uttige! I appreciate your help.

I have been looking at the ACME props, so it's good to hear you noticed a difference. How did you decide which prop to go with?

I've never heard of HD UNO, but just found it online and will have to check it out. We have a lot of water spots and hard water buildup on the hull we need to remove.

Gotta love these Tige boats! My dad and sister owned this boat before I did, so I've been skiing this boat for 14 years and have yet to find a better wake.

On the hard water spots, once you buff it out and wax - find yourself a good spray to wipe it down with immediately after pulling out while still wet. Boat Bling products are good - everyone has their preference. That will keep the hard water spots off for the most part and make ongoing maintenance easier.
