The V was last produced for the 06 model year and Ve was released in 06. The boats are very similar below the water line, so they produce similar wakes and rides. Interior space and layouts are both similar. The biggest differences between them is the V bow seats are 1 piece, where the Ve bow seats are 2 piece. This means the seat back only, lifts up to gain access to the mid-ship locker and the bottom opens up to gain access to the bow storage. The Ve seat backs have lift supports and the V does not.

The V ballast uses 4 hard tanks: one in each rear locker and one in each mid-ship locker. The Ve uses a soft sac under the bow seats and hard tanks along the transom. I would consider NO ballast as a plus. You can do a far better custom ballast.

The Ve has a walk through transom with filler cushion and whats called "transom activity center" which is 3 storage bins which double as seats. The notched transom of the V makes sitting to put a board on easier then the sloped transom of the V.

The V could have perfect pass as an option but the Ve will likely have Tige "Speed Set" cruise.

Those are some of the major differences.
