Looking to buy my 1st surf boat.

I just sold my Searay 220 sundeck and I would like to get a good surf boat. I live in Montana and the season is about over so there are some decent deals. I have a good local tige, moomba and sanger dealer. Malibu is 90 miles away.
I would like to stay in the 70k range. I found this used boat and it looks great. I really like the rz4 http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2012-Tige-RZ4-625484
I can also get a brand new Sanger 237 for $60k it's 4th from the top.
http://www.townsendmarine.com/wp/new...er/?show=slide I like the Sanger it just looks they are unchanged for 6+ years. The Axis A24 also looks pretty good. Is the rz4 new for 2015? Whats a good price on one?

That RZ4 is a stunning boat and decent value.

However he Rz line isn't new either. It's been around since 2007. However it has had a number of major enhancements in its time, such as the alpha z tower, the tige touch and the convex vx.

These days, almost every high end boat can do everything with a little work, so buy the one you love then customize to suit.

The owner of that RZ4 is a member on here. I didn't have time to search but I believe if you look under the for sales you may find the listing and the user. That boat looks like it has been well cared for and based upon the pics of the garage an other toys I would bet it has been well maintained. Good luck in your hunt and always remember that dealer support is huge, especially for those of us with very short seasons, so research the dealers as well as the boats.

That boat you are looking at is a member here as "Dandy" said. Here is the link to his post. Maybe you two can work something out, sweet looking boat!

We surf on a buddies 2012 RZ2 and real strong for surfing plus very good roominess so highly recommended.

Thanks guys it does look sweet. How much do you think I will be able to buy a new 2015 z3 for? It would be worth spending extra to get the new convex and ballast system.
              Thanks

I would think the a new Z3 would be in the upper 80's to 90's range depending on options and engine size.

Last winter is started shopping from scratch with little knowledge about this type of boat.
First looked at 2 to. 4 year old boats from the big names, I then thought 50 to 60,000 seemed to much for used.
Decided on new or carry over boats, almost bought an axis 24 new for 70,000 then focused on a nice new MB 22 tomcat for a negotiated price in the mid 60,000 range, quality seemed much better than axis.
Ended up aggressively negotiating on the 2014 z3 at the show with all discounts and rebates, I got the best deal possible or not possible to be truthfull.
Bottom line is there are lots of right choices to pick from but I know I saved over 10,000 by doing my research.
One thing I cannot stomach Is loosing a fortune on first year depreciation on a toy!
I love the Z3 but would have enjoyed any of them I'm sure.

I was told by a factory tige rep that the 2015 models have about a 10% price increase due to the new TT and the motor change?
I was thinking about trading up to a 2015 not likely now after having a long talk with the rep.
Knowing that I think the best you could do on a 2015 Z3 would be mid $80,000 plus tax without going crazy on options.
