    Wanted Group Buy Section?

    ***Just noticed there is a site suggestion area that no one seems to comment anything into, but noticed it after I posted this, so if needed please feel free to move this over there my baddddd!****

    Hey guys, so I have been looking around at other forums and noticed that many of them have a "Wanted Group Buy" section where people can pretty much post about a group buy they would want and other who are interested could get in on it. That way assuming a lot of people want the same products, you can simply make a call/email to the companies of the products and tell them right off the bat that you have 5,10,15+ people interested in their product and see if we can get a group buy going. Seems like a cool thing to have as I am sure all of us wouldnt mind saving some money and it seems as if we all for the most part all want the same stuff (stereo equipment, FAE, deckadance flooring, ACME props etc.). While some of these companies have offered us group buys before, I am sure some of us have missed them for one reason or another (usually finances or the wife tend to be the reason...lets blame the wife just to make a point haha) this would allow those who missed out to maybe get it the second time around.

    Obviously this would have to go through the forum managers or whoever owns/runs this site (which rocks btw), but I have a feeling assuming they see some interest maybe they wouldnt mind adding this section in for us.

    Sorry for the rant...just an idea....maybe its been said before, if so my bad, if not are you interested?

      One reason you see those sub sections like that dedicated to group buys, is because those are pay-to-post sections and open to the paid forum members. Two that come to mind are TMC and CCC.

        I see. Well my question would be why not start a free version here? I mean not like we are asking the forum owner/manger to do anything more than add another discussion section. All the group buys that people would want would be handlers by forum members taking upon themselves the job of getting the deal, following through with the company and the members interested, etc.

        I know you have much more info/knowledge about this stuff than me as I am new to this forum. Just seems like something people could be interested in which is also just one more thing to make this site even better than it already is. I mean after all people are posting these types of thread under general discussion now anyways for free so not like it would be any different other than it being dedicated over to a specific area.... Right? Haha

          The one on Malibu Crew has some GBs open to everyone and there are some where you have to be a paid member to even see.
          But the GB wanted forum is open to all.

            I second that motion. I am new to Tige family and already spending money and drving my wife crazy with my upgrades. Group buys are the way to go and I tell my wife it was a "deal". Hope this gets started and thanks 1sicktige for suggesting.

              Not poo-pooing your idea by any means, a dedicated thread where only GB's are posted, is a great idea. Just commenting on why a couple of forums have them as a separate section. Its so they can locl out hte non-paying posters.

                No offense taking man. In fact I am glad you chimed in, usually there is a reason to every madness, had you not chimed in I would still be curious as to why we dont have this. Didnt even know that was a thing I thought all forums were free and were just a place where anyone could log on and get info and stuff (such as this one). WELL, I guess that answers my question haha...there goes that idea!
