Have you adjusted the timers at all after upgrading to the MLA sacs? If so I suspect they might be filling more than you think, and when you accelerate the 1/4 or 1/2 full bag will have all the water run to the stern, making it even harder to get on plane. Are the sacs the Enzo style that stretch under the seats? Then the sacs look 1/4 full at rest but during acceleration the water runs to the back of the sac and you get a boat that's hard to plane out. When you want to use partially full sacs, try folding the underseat extension under the main portion of the sac in the locker, so when it fills 1/4 full and you look at it that's all the water you see, without any additional water from the underseat extension to fill up the rear locker for you.

I think this a combo of too much weight in the rear and an improper prop. I will say when my boat is fully loaded for surfing it's hard to get it faster than 14-15 mph, it just tops out there, but I've got the 343 PCM and the stock 537 prop.

I'm up around 3800' and use the 1235 prop...the stock just didn't cut the mustard when i had rear sacks full and people sitting in the back. Sounds like your just loaded to heavy in the rear!

It is your prop. If you have the stock prop 537 it sucks balls for what you are trying to do. Get a 1235 and go wakeboard. I can fill all the ballast in my RZ2 which is 2000lbs and have around 8 people in it at 5300ft and still plane out. So once again it is your prop. Get a 1235.

Thanks everyone on the suggestion of changing props but I'm curious whats the downside of going to the 1235? More specifically when it comes to surfing. And if everyone suggested changing why wouldn't it come with that prop to start with. Especially since the boat is recommended for both surf and wakeboard. Its funny I actually asked my dealer about the 1235 a few days before I headed back up to the cabin and he said thats totally the wrong prop for the 22' Tige's but he was going to do a bit more research into it as well (remember its only there 2 year selling Tige) so I can't expect them to know all the ins and outs just yet.

Turbonine - the rear bags from MLA go from the rear of the boat up the sides taking up all the storage 3/4 the way up on the sides as well. Pretty common from what I understand for an upgrade but if I'm off a few pounds on what I think it is I'm sure someone will correct me.

              That makes more sense.

Go with the 1235. I replaced the 537 with the 1235. You will lose about 3 or 4 mph on the top end, but everything else will be better; holeshot, holding speed, turning. You may want to even consider the 2315, but I think the 1235 will do the job.

and could barely get the boat on plane (both front's full with 25% in the rears
Was this 25% shown on the gauge or an estimate based on a visual check of the rear tanks and sacs. Too heavy in the aft, and you can get what you described. Although the ballast gauge can be reset to compensate for the larger sacs, but, I dont this the incremental values in between 0% and 100% will be accurate. This is due to the "L" shape of the larger sac.

I also agree with the above suggestion to double check the prop model number.

                  Lighter in the wallet.

Cost for one reason. But, the 537 is actually a great all around prop for boats that do not run tons of ballast or do not boat on higher elevation lakes. Once we want the boat to do more than it is capable to do in factory trim, we need to make these types of upgrades. Kind of like ditching the factory all terrains on a 4x4 for a more aggressive mud terrain.

There are a lot more choices out there from Acme, Go to their website fill out the worksheet and then call them. They are great to work with and will get you the perfect prop for whatever you want to do.
Or just buy the 1235 as it is proven to get the job done for wakeboarding and Surfing. I ran one on my 2008 Z1 and have one on my current 14 Z1. It is a great prop for a sacked out Tige!

I'm probably in the small minority on this, but I didn't like the 1235 on my 24V. It required the engine to run at much higher RPMs, which seemed like it was making the engine work too hard at skiing/cruising speeds. We don't ballast for wakeboarding, and the 537 has worked fine for me at surf speeds, even with 1,400+ lbs. in the surf-side rear.

I would say between the locker and L under the seat, I have at least 1200 in my port side, and really close to that starboard due to the cooler thanks to MLA.

Coop, did you gave the 24v with 6.0?

The 1235 is not best choice for the 6.0. The 537 is great on the 6.0. I have both and the 537 is the way to go with a 6.0l motor. On the 5.7 the 1235 is best choice for all around.

Loud I had the 537 on my 6.0 z3 and couldn't go over 10mph with the larger ballast. I went to the 1235 and love it. Lost some top end but it pulls like a tractor.

What elevation are you at ?
