the shape is not changed. the angle, and over all size of the vx is. you have to have someone cut and glass it.

I have the ability to make taps plates and I do not think it should cost an arm and a leg.

My company manufactures many products and we have lasers and CNC forming equipment.

All I would need is a drawing or a plate to duplicate.

A simple devise off the VX would be great for anyone who insists they need to switch sides fast and keep the boat level.

Sooo this would be the second angle change for the VX since it came out? It's pretty drastic of a change since they released the original. It looks like Tige is either constantly innovating or releasing products before they know how they work.

I think it is fair to say the first was a misstep. This time its an evolution, after many many hours of use and testing.

Cannot agree more. With no disrespect toward Robert (ragboy) intended, I really believe that Tige needs to step up and get an actual engineering team to research and develop - or further develop - their products. Having "backyard" engineers develop the product, put videos together and be one of the lead marketers of their product seems pretty weak to me. Don't get me wrong, most of the improvements on products come from ideas or designs of users (many of Bobcat's patents are ideas purchased from farmers/contractors) but then are usually further developed, tested and marketed by the manufacturers. Tige is close enough to water to water test their boats, they should be able to get out and test/develop new ideas as well, hell Centurion has built their own "lake" near their facility for R&D. With regards to some of the stuff that is appearantly being released to early (VX and ASR for examples), sometimes being late to the party with a superior product will do better for the brand long term than releasing things too quickly causing hesitation from consumers and damage to the brand. -Rant over.

FWIW, we didn't do any engineering. We spent several sessions with Tige engineers and our main task was to test and optimize. Its their design and engineering, we just tested it with many riders and were able to make it perform better with all of that experience.

As far as the taps goes, that was more of a personal quest, I guess you could say. ;-)

Why cant they just make the VX part of the boat? Or atleast make it part of the platform.

Built into the boat sounds good to me but I would think it may still be desirable for some to have it removable if they are trying to fit their boat into a garage. Plus if they did that then people would say they copied the 90's mastercraft maristars with the built in swim platforms. lol.

You have helped tons when I want to pull my hair out even, I still can't believe the time you offered us your boat and vacation home when our boat had issues. You are a true gentlemen. YW, we just had our family wakeation, 6 days of lake and surf, and it was the best ever. I really feel wakesurfing is about the best family activity ever. I hope more and more people can experience that especially as these boats make it easier and easier to make an amazing wake to do it on.

Well, a used 22V, 22Ve, 24V, or 24Ve will do the trick. Our 2007 24Ve is still on our lake and throws one of the best wakes available, uses only water ballast and switches from side to side in like 3 mins. Dave Rusch's 22V throws an amazing wake. I steer people that way all the time that can't afford a new boat.
