then had NSS installed before delivery. Our non-listed wave is better than our old wave.
How is this comparison relevant? You are comparing who knows what year/model Tige, setup who knows, to a different brand that had the NSS put on pre-delivery. Not at all saying you do not have a fantastic wave with your 210 NSS, just cant see the comparison. Now, if you had compared the pre-NSS listed over 2012 SAN wave to the post-NSS bow high 2012 SAN, that would be a great testimonial for the surf systems.

Tige will come with something. They pretty much have to or be left behind.

        Ragboy,
Please shed some light here. What's different about the VX? What's different about the TAPS?
        Thanks!

I worry about GPH when you evenly weight a boat. Twice as much weight. I have only ridden behind a T22, the wave was massive and had a ton of push. The down side I saw was the shape, no lip and was a little soft. It was pretty cool to change sides with a flip of a switch. It also seemed hard to maneuver under way. Just my 2 pennies

ok, here are some pictures. The differences are the angle, the shape where it meets the boat, how it mates to the boat, and the TAPS. You will see the new VX is sealed to the boat, to allow for the greatest suction. You will see the TAPS plate is flat, shorter, but much wider, and the mount for the arm allows for the taps plate to come down a bit more. This resolves not being able to mellow out the goofy wake. The new taps reduces wash, on any VX and with this VX we almost no wash at any setting. The new taps shape came after countless hours of testing 9 different shapes and putting cameras in the VX tunnel to see what was going on in there. Tige knows our passion and gave us some leeway to pursue creating the perfect wake and then sharing it with everyone else. These are prototypes, but I have seen 2015 versions of this VX and taps, and they look more polished, but the same. We also tested a production 2015 Z3 with this setup, and it was the same.

Here is a VX done at the factory, to match our setup.

Here are a bunch of different shapes that we tested.

Will there be a retrofit for 2013 models with the vx?

X2 I bought my vx last year for 3000 and went through the bracket fiasco for more than half f the season. I think Tige should come correct for a few of us.

Do you have any insight on this Robert ? (I know it's not your call lol just picking your brain)

I really don't know of the plans (if any) to retrofit. I can tell you that it is possible to take a current VX and make it like this, and maybe get the taps plate from Tige, or I guess I can make them available. The new taps will reduce wash on the current setup or the new.

Our VX is a current VX that we had professionally modified and sealed, then passed on the data to tige. But it would be expensive to do, to one off modify a current VX. Probably a similar price to buying a new one.

Anyway, the retro question is really for Tige or the dealer. If you lived close enough, I am sure our fabricator would do it for you. ;-)

Sorry should've been more clear. We demoed the 210 without NSS. The wave was decent. Not the biggest but it was nice. The NSS gave the boat a much bigger, stronger wave that has the ability to change from very mellow to fairly steep.

Was it the new 210 hull or the old? If the new hull, then that absolutely has some meat to. That shows that that hull needed something extra to make a great surf wave. The old 210 needed a little something to.......a new hull

Tige needs to figure out a way to integrate a surf system into the vx. Maybe cut out a section of the VX on either side and attach an actuator between the tab and the swim platform. Those angles should be enough to get the plate to push almost straight down like the swell/mb system. When fully retracted the tab would be flush so it would behave just like the current vx so the hard core guys could still list the boat if they wanted too but the family that doesn't like a listed boat could weight evenly and just use the tabs for probably a pretty decent wave and fast switch times. Best of both worlds and it would differentiate tige from all of the other transom mounted systems. It also might help them with any IP concerns the other manufactures might face once some of the patents from this tech start to grant. I think Tige has a patent for the vx so they could build on that. There are probably some structural and removability issues but I bet a decent engineer could solve those problems with a clever design.

Did you actually reshape the VX itself or just change the angle and seal it to the transom? Seems like changing the angle and sealing it might be possible as a retrofit, but changing the shape would be much more complicated/expensive.
