I think that the impeller style pumps do better against head pressure than aerator pumps. Plus with aerators you have to worry about siphoning and such.

With my Malibu, it was 11 minutes to fill my front tank, and that was a Tsunami 1200 with 1 inch hose. I switched it out for a Jabsco and now it is 7 minutes with the same run. The problem was that in order to run the Tsunami, there had to be a high loop to prevent passive filling and it slowed it down. The Jabsco does not seem to be nearly as affected by it.
    Be excellent to one another.

Interesting. Are you saying you removed the "high loop" when you installed the impeller pump? Or is the loop still there and the pump is working through the exact same hose arrangement?

Biggest problem we have had is the positioning of the jabsco pump , if it lays on its side or with the pump impellar on top for easier service the shaft leaks water into the motor and we have to put a new pump in , youed be surprised at how many boats come from the factory with the pumps mounted impellar housing on top.
